Public Safety Crisis

March 7, 2022: Law enforcement in Delaware does not believe that the current attorney general has their back

Hey, it’s Julianne Murray and it’s our Murray Monday Minute.

We got the brilliant idea to film outside today and guess what, it’s raining and windy. So, if you were wondering if I was a real person, yes I am, here’s the wind blowing.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we were talking about the public safety crisis that we have here in Delaware and I said that it’s caused by at least two things:

  • one of which is law enforcement retiring or resigning, and

  • the second is criminal defendant’s pre-trial that are released on lower or no bail.

So, let’s talk about the law enforcement aspect and what I am going to do about that.

Right now, law enforcement in Delaware does not believe that the current Attorney General has their back.

You can’t blame them. You know, they’re busting their butts out there to arrest people and the cases are not getting prosecuted.

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute.  Imagine you worked on a project that you put your heart and soul into, took it to your boss, and the boss is yeah, hmmm, not so much and yeah, hmmm.  You know, how often and how much would you put up with that?

That’s where we are.  So, what we do about that? We will let them know how much we appreciate what they are doing.

Day One, there is going to be a change in climate: Law enforcement is going to know that I am the top cop and that I have their back.

We have to get that message out to them.  We have to let them know that we appreciate that they literally put their lives on the line every single day.

I told you guys before, fearless about this election.

Fearless out!
